Interview with Mrs. Welch

What are you doing this week?
We are writing letters to Santa, preparing for our play, counting money in math, and learning about heat in science.

What are your student's favorite subjects?
Science is definitely one.

Are you working on any Christmas related projects?
Besides letters for Santa, we will be making presents for the parents, and Mrs. Satlof will be coming in to talk about Hanukah.

What are you planning on doing over the Christmas break?
I am going to New York City and watching the Rockettes.

Are you looking forward to the winter weather?
No, definitely not.

Interview with Students

What're you guys doing this week in class?
Hudson: We're doing money in math, and Santa Clause letters in writing.
Kristina: Learning about dinosaurs in enrichment and learning about money.
Patrick: Writing letters to Santa about what I did this year that was good.

Do you have any Christmas projects going on?
Hudson: Santa letters, at home were making cards for my cousins.
Kristina: Ornaments soon.
Patrick: Santa Letters.

If you could have one thing for Christmas what would it be?
Hudson: My own soccer field!
Kristina: A Wii.
Patrick: Heelies!

What does Christmas mean you?
Hudson: Seeing my cousins and being with my family.
Kristina: When my whole family gets together.
Patrick: Giving.

What are you going to do with your two weeks off?
Hudson: I'm going to be a ring bearer at a wedding, then Christmas, and then just hanging out.
Kristina: Going to my grandmas and spending time with my family.
Patrick: Celebrate my birthday.

What's your favorite thing about 2nd grade?
Hudson: My teacher, she's one of my favorite teachers I've ever had, she's funny.
Kristina: I don't know! Its so fun!
Patrick: The teacher, she's nice.
